Ismael Cid - Washington D.C.

“I’ve been running with Skyline Run Club for over a year. I enjoy most the friendships we’ve established and the sense of community and support that we provide to one another. This spoke most to me during the pandemic. Meeting up for a run, while social distancing and wearing a mask, helped me get some fresh air, break a sweat, and gain some perspective during difficult times. This camaraderie made all the difference for me in 2020. I continue to rely on all the support, laughter, and fun that we have while pushing each other to make marginal gains and excel. I’m looking forward to many more miles and races together!”

“For a few years, I bounced around a few clubs but never really found my fit. Then in fall 2019, I came to my first Skyline practice and immediately felt welcomed. With experienced coaches, runners of all levels, and tons of laughs, every training session is both fun and competitive. Skyline is a team where everyone fits in. So glad I found them!”

Kelly Dissinger - North Bergen, NJ

“A year and a half ago I was at a point where I would run on my own occasionally, but felt like I wasn't invested in running the way I used to be. I ran competitively from middle school up through college, but after that it was hard to be consistent if I didn't have someone else helping to keep me accountable. When Skyline was formed, it was like the little piece I was missing from this sport clicked back into place. This sense of being on a team, the support for each other, the competitive spirit, and the drive to get better not only as individuals, but as a whole group is something I had been lacking while trying to train on my own. The coaches and members make everyone feel at home and work with any ability level to make this an enjoyable and productive experience for all.”

Andrew Ward - NYC, NY

“I used to think that running would never be fun again after high school and college ended, but Skyline Run Club has brought all of that right. Skyline has helped myself and many other runners to get comfortable working hard, reignited a competitive streak, and helped me to set new goals.
Skyline Run Club was clearly born out of love and excitement for the running community. Skyline feels like a family, and is coached in an approachable but challenging manner. The care that coaches Jon and Jason bring to the team cannot be beat, and their programming extends beyond personalized training plans and group practices. Skyline helps to build better runners by hosting speakers, putting on community events, and even organizing trips to destination races. Skyline has brought running back to life!”

“When you hear the word community, Skyline Run Club and their members really personify that feeling. I've felt welcomed since Day 1. I love the fact that any athlete, any level is welcomed. Workouts are well designed and coaches Jason and Jon are knowledgeable and super approachable. Track practices have definitely improved my strength and speed. I have made some incredible friendships with teammates I run with outside of practice. Highly recommend becoming a member of Skyline Run Club!”

Stacey Neabore - East Rutherford, NJ

“As a lifelong runner in both high school and in the military, joining a run club was something that I always wanted to do but just didn’t know how and was intimidated by the prospect of joining other runners who would be way faster or in better shape than I was. From the beginning Jason and Jon have always been encouraging of each person’s individual progress and goals and have created a relaxed atmosphere where runners of all ability can show up and push each other to get their best results. When we all get together on Wednesdays and Sundays it feels more like a family meetup than a rigid team practice. Jason and Jon also do an awesome job communicating details, events and even their new podcast! For the hesitant or self-conscious runner (or future runner) be assured you will fit in and be welcome from Day 1.“

Sid Prakasam – Weehawken NJ

“I got into running a few years ago to get healthy and become more active. Running half marathons with thousands of other people was very enjoyable, but I found it difficult to stay motivated when practicing on my own. I had just signed up for the NYC Marathon and then doubt set in on whether I would be able to have the drive and fitness to survive the training cycle -- and enjoy running 26.2 miles. I checked out Skyline Run Club with a bit nervousness since I expected the runners to be fitter, faster, and just more into running than I was. Yes, they were all these things, but I felt so part of the group very quickly. Irrespective of your pace and fitness, you still feel very much part of the gang as Jason and Jon support us to get to our running goals. Outside of all the running tips and workouts, you also meet people from across the local community -- and so I ended up making some good friends along the way too!“
