What if I don’t consider myself a runner?

  • No problem! We all started somewhere. We encourage everyone to move whether that is walking, jogging, running slow and fast. You may be surprised on how quickly you improve!

How old must I be to join?

  • All are welcome to participate with us but must be 18 to officially join.

Do we always meet at the same location?

  • SRC typically meets at the Weehawken Track in Weehawken, NJ. We also take advantage of runs through Central Park, NYC, North Hudson County Park in North Bergen, NJ and other locations along the Hudson River. We announce these locations through social media, and WhatsApp reminders.

Do I have to compete in a race?

  • We have several competitive road races throughout the year. We encourage all our members to participate but it is absolutely not mandatory. Running healthy is the priority whether you use SRC for competition, running for fun, or simply using it for fitness.

What if I can’t finish a workout?

  • Workouts are set up for the members with paces being relative to the individual. No workout is set in stone. If a workout is too difficult or too long, we strongly encourage modifying. Please ask us for help in adjustments.

How much is the membership and what does it include?

  • Memberships for new members is $75. Renewing members is $50. Each come with a variation of competitive shirts, a Yeti Tumbler, a gym bag, weekly coaching, strength classes, seminar opportunities in running, and more. Please click on “Membership” to learn more.

How often do you practice?

  • We practice twice a week - Wednesdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 9am. In the summer months, we also practice on Tuesdays at 6am. During the winter season (after the NYCM), the schedule is reduced to once per week.
